Introduction
You can use the Introduction for a welcome text, a list of contributors to the project or to enter general and introductory material on your taxonomic group; you can also store other information here on topics such as methodology.Contents
This page shows an automatic generated list of the different topics in the Introduction. You can also search by entering text in the "Type to find" box. You can jump to a page by clicking its name in the pop-up.Editing page
From this page you can edit or remove a page. Click on the "next" and "previous" buttons to leaf through the pages.
In the Topic-box you can edit the name of the page. In the text-box you can edit the text of the page.
To assign a multimedia file to a page, click “Upload" or "attach media” at the bottom of the page. This opens the Multimedia module, from where you can attach a multimedia file (in the Introduction no audio or video is supported, only an image: png, jpg, jpe, jpeg or gif).
This image will appear in the web-interface on the upper right hand corner of the page. It will be scaled to 241 (width) x 281 (hight) pixels. (In the web-interface you can click the image to get an enlargement).
Internal links
You can add links to other sections of your project. To do so, type and select the word(s) you want to become the link. Then click the chain-symbol in the upper left corner of the editing-box. Choose an option from the pop-up and click "insert link".
To link media in the text first go to the media module. Click “browse media for this project” and choose list-view. Copy the url adres of the media item you want to link. Go back to the Introduction module and text where you want to insert the link. Type and/or select the word(s) you want to become the link, click on the chain-symbol and paste the url. As a target you can choose to open the linked media item in the same or in a new window.
When you made changes, click "save" first before going to the next page.
Click "delete" to delete a page.
To add a new page click "Create new" on top of the page. To change the order of the pages, click "Change page order".
