Revision history for Traits
Additions:
On this page you can manage trait groups, a set of characters that define a group of species. For example it can be used for creating species lists for specific areas or habitats, filter species with specific traits and for characteristic data of invasive species. In the web-interface (front-end) these traits can be combined in a search, a powerful tool for managing large datasets.
NOTE: In the web-interface (front-end) the traits will appear in the Advanced search section as a tab "Filter species" (between the tabs Full search and Taxonomic tree). You have to be sysadmin to make the traits also visible as tabs on the species pages.

On this page you can create a new trait group. Make sure the fields system name and English name (or any other language in your project) are filled. Click "save" when finished. Click "index" to go back to the Trait starting page.
On this page you can add Traits to a trait group and change the show order of the traits in a trait group. Drag and drop traits to change their show order; click "save trait order" to save the new order. To add a trait to a trait group click "create new trait". Choose the data type for the trait and fill in at least a system and English name (or any other language in your project).
To edit a trait click "edit", to add or edit a value of a trait, click "values". Click "index" to go back to the Trait starting page.
On this page you can add values to a trait or edit an existing value. Click "save" when finished. Click "trait" to jump to the trait containing these values. Also for each value you see how many taxa share this value. Click "index" to go back to the Trait starting page.
On this page you can add or remove datatypes. Removing a data type from the project will hide it from various menu's; it will not cause deletion of any existing data of that type.
